AI Haircut Advisor helps users compare haircut directions using a photo, answers about their hair and preferences, and optional AI-generated previews. This policy explains the types of information the service may process and the choices available to users.

Information We Process

Photos and derived analysis
- A photo you choose to provide for face and hair analysis or hairstyle preview.
- Derived visual information such as relative facial proportions, photo-quality signals, and the recommendation profile created for your session.
- Generated hairstyle preview images and haircut plans.

Questionnaire information
- Hair texture, density, current length, preferred style, desired visual direction, and the amount of change you are comfortable with.

Account and transaction information
- If account or paid features are enabled, we may process your name, email address, credit balance, purchase status, and transaction identifiers. Payment card details are handled by the selected payment processor rather than stored directly by AI Haircut Advisor.

- Browser and device type, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages and features used, errors, and performance information.

- Data needed to operate sessions, remember preferences, protect the service, and understand product usage.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- check whether a photo is suitable for analysis;
- create a face and hair profile requested by the user;
- rank haircut recommendations and explain their trade-offs;
- generate optional hairstyle previews and barber instructions;
- provide account, credit, payment, and support functions;
- prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and improve service quality;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Photo-quality and face-geometry checks run locally in the browser for the recommendation step. The photo is not uploaded for this local analysis. If the user actively requests AI hairstyle previews, the photo is then uploaded and sent to the configured image-generation providers.
Photo Processing and Retention
Photos are processed only to provide the features requested by the user. The recommendation step keeps the photo in the browser. Requesting an AI preview uploads the photo to configured object storage and sends it through Replicate to OpenAI's GPT Image 2 model. We aim to minimize the retention of original photos and derived facial information and to provide deletion controls where the product supports saved results. Provider processing and retention are also subject to the applicable provider terms.
Do not upload a photo unless it is your own or you have clear authorization from the person shown.
Service Providers
We may use service providers for cloud hosting, private object storage, AI inference, authentication, payments, email, analytics, and error monitoring. The hairstyle-preview feature currently uses Replicate to access OpenAI GPT Image 2. These providers receive the photo and prompt needed to create the requested preview and process them under their own contractual and security obligations.
Photo Authorization
A user must upload only their own photo or a photo they are authorized to use. Where local law requires permission from a parent, guardian, or other authorized person, the user is responsible for obtaining it before using the service.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed, including access controls and protected transport. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on location and product availability, users may be able to access, correct, download, or delete stored account information, photos, and generated results. Users may also have legal rights to object to or restrict certain processing.

We may update this policy as the product, providers, and legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
